About Glow Notes

Hi, I’m Jena — and I have a colour problem. (The good kind.) ✨

I’ve been obsessed with colour for as long as I can remember. Design, aesthetics, the way a single shade can completely transform how something - or someone - looks and feels. So when I discovered colour analysis, it wasn’t so much a new interest as it was a finally, this has a name moment.

Before long I was deep in a rabbit hole I had absolutely no intention of climbing out of.

I’m the founder of Glow Theory, a colour analysis business where I help people figure out which colours work best for their natural colouring - and more importantly, why. I trained in Toronto with Karen Brunger of the International Image Institute, one of the leading colour analysis experts in Canada and internationally. So yes, I take this seriously. I also think it should be fun.

What is Glow Notes?

Glow Notes is where I write about all things colour analysis, personal style, and the surprisingly fascinating world of colour theory.

Here’s what you can expect:

  • 🌸 Seasonal palette breakdowns - Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter, and all 16–23 seasons in between

  • 🎨 Colour theory made actually interesting - no jargon, just the good stuff

  • 👗 Personal style musings - how colour connects to confidence, wardrobe, and feeling like yourself

  • 🐇 Rabbit holes - because if something sparks my interest, you’re coming with me

I write the way I talk: honest, a little nerdy about this stuff, and super excited to share it. No gatekeeping, no overwhelming terminology, no pressure to overhaul your wardrobe overnight.

Who is this for?

Honestly? More people than you’d think.

Glow Notes is for you if:

  • You’ve always been curious about colour analysis but didn’t know where to start

  • You’ve ever bought something that looked amazing in the store and wrong on you at home

  • You care about style, fashion, or just feeling put-together without it becoming a full-time job

  • You’re a design nerd, a colour lover, or just someone who likes learning interesting things

  • You want to understand your colours - not just follow trends

And yes - this is for everyone. Colour analysis isn’t just for women or people with a big interest in fashion. It’s for anyone who gets dressed in the morning and wants to feel good doing it.

Why subscribe?

Because I’m going to make colour analysis actually enjoyable to learn about - and I’m just getting started.

New posts land straight in your inbox, no algorithm deciding whether you see them or not. It’s free, it’s low-pressure, and you can unsubscribe any time (though I hope you won’t 🥹).

If you’ve ever wanted to understand why some colours make you look glowy and well-rested while others make you look like you need a nap and a snack - you’re in the right place. 🐇💛
