All true! When I got home after my session with Jena, I was sad. To be fair, a lot of the low feelings had to do with staring at my bare, saggy and wrinkled face for over an hour... I had to just let that pass. It took a couple days. I don't know how to avoid that, knowing that the best environment for colour analysis is just as described above. So no suggestions, other than to anticipate it and let it pass.

But I feel so comfortable in dark winter colours that I was sure that had to be 'it'. Damn.

I went to my closet and pulled out all my favourite garments. Other than navy blue, it was all in the season in which Jena assessed me. Go figure! As a small consolation, I found that most of the fabrics I had previously called navy blue are actually a nice, deep, warm blue that *is* on my colour palette. So there (self)!

Thanks Jena! Go forth and analyze 😘

Aw - yeah it can definitely be a process and a case study in loving yourself! It’s not often we stare at ourselves for an hour or more under bright lighting. It brings a lot to the surface emotionally! Totally normal. And totally valid. <3 I hope that your palette has given you some comfort as you find the colours that make you glow!
